How to do fire and riot exercises without affecting progress

Postby spectacularnono18 » Tue Jul 29, 2014 4:17 pm

So sometimes you want to look at how a fire would do in your prison? Or pherhaps how well you can manage a full-scale riot. Well all of this is possible without affecting all your progress in your prison

NOTE:This is just for the few people that dont know this.

What you gotta do is simple. Just save the game at the current moment you are in. Start a riot by locking prisoners anywhere, prefferably in the shower (they hate that) and start your riot. If you want to simulate a fire and want to see how it spreads and affect the prison system then put an power generator in any room of the prison, turn it on and have a squad of firefighters throw some water at it (this will make the generator catch fire) . What I do to make it a bit more realistic is once the fire started, I call the firefighters off and wait for them to leave, after they leave you call the firefighters again that will extinguish the fire.

Once the riot or fire is over simply load the game you saved earlier and you are back to your normal prison :)

In short: save and then intentionally do something that is sure to cause trouble.

Thanks for that helpful advice.</sarcasm>

I only ever had a fire once and didn't know how to start one on purpose.

For extra laughs, put half a dozen armed guards on patrol outside each locked shower door and turn freefire on.

i seen a prison where they lined all prisoner walkways with a fence and set armed guards on the other side of the fence and forced a riot..armed guards will (or at least did when introduced) shoot through the fence...was a shooting gallery pretty much...guards could shoot away without having prisoners come after them

i suppose prisoners with lighters would start them during a riot..but water hitting an power plant (not sure why anyone would have a power plant so close to water though) does start a fire...i assume metal detectors, tv's and stoves have the same effect if water hits them but i have never seen this situation pop up...

i have been playing since alpha13 or so and have yet to have a single fire in my prison...
