I started to notice a trend in my very large prison lately.
Things get done slower and slower by my staff.
And this seems to be caused by them starting on a job tired, the job takes them to the other end of my prison and they end up to be exhausted and walk at a snails pace.
To combat this I was thinking an option could be added to the staff menu to choose how far we want to push our staff before they go and rest.
Maybe a slider going from not tired to exhausted, that the player can drag to the desired level.
If you are being good to your staff, they'll reward you by running at normal full speed, but you loose them more often to the staff-rooms.
If you are a slave-driver and keep them working until they fall over or are exhausted, they'll run slower, but work longer for you.

Do you have multiple staff rooms throughout your prison or just one? I don't have this same issue and have a staff rest area outside each cell block.

Re: [SUGGESTION] staff rest periods
I have 10 staff areas spread around my prison.and have at any given time 40-50 staff members that are exhausted.
It seems they are resting, but only once it's too late.
I would like to give them a break before they are exhausted.
And since in my prison it's quite a distance from the deliveries to the other end, when they do it just before they hit the exhausted point, they will be underway for what seems to be forever.

Yeah I have a similar problem. I have 4 large staff rooms around the perimeter of my prison, all within quick walking distance from any single point in the prison, and there is only ever 2-3 staff using them. I have 100 guards, with 20 unassigned at any one time, yet I always have 30 or so of them exhausted and a lot of them tired. Half the time its the non assigned ones, just standing around tired somewhere.
Re: [SUGGESTION] staff rest periods
Hopefully the ability to assign shifts will happen and that should fix this as they can rest at the ends of shifts. You just have to decide how many hours a shift is then so you can decide how long to make them work at once, thus how hard to push them.

As an example, the guard below is escorting a prisoner to his cell while being exhausted.
The prisoner got picked up while the guard was tired.
From the moment the escort started, the guard became exhausted.
It took the guard 9 whole game hours to escort this prisoner to his cell, 3/4 of the way through my prison.
While doing so, the inmate soiled himself twice and was very very unhappy by the time he got dropped off in his cell.

What I'd like to see is something like when the inmates are all locked up (either during a lockup time slot or when the prisoners are sleeping) that tired guards go to a staff room. I'd really like to see during the prisoners sleep regime to see A lot of staff hit the staff room for rest.
