[Suggestion] Disable Hiring During Riots and Fights

Postby AlKaPwn » Sat May 24, 2014 8:39 pm

It seems a tad bit silly to me that can essentially have a skeleton crew of guards, wait until a riot or fight breaks out, and then flood the place with guards as needed. If there was an incident happening in the prison, you wouldn't be able to hire people, everyone should be busy with that, also it forces people to deal with what's happening with the resources on hand which means players have to plan ahead better. All in all I think that change would make the game better in every sense.

This way of gaming the system has been brought up before. I *believe* that the consensus is that hired staff should not instantly appear on the map, but that they should arrive by bus / car / truck / whatever after they are hired.

Maybe with the exception of workmen, who should come on foot - just in case the trucks are stuck because there is noone to unload them.
Come to think of it - if your road gates are shut and you have no guards, the guards should come on foot as well... (unless workmen can unlock road gates - but I assume they work the same as jail doors..)

But if this happens and you have the issue of armed prisoners rioting and you have no (alive) armed guards you're pretty much screwed.

I believe it shouldn't be implemented, but is something that people can just not hire during riots in game currently if they want to play like that.

I don't think hiring should be disabled during a riot. I do however think that hiring staff during a riot should be prohibitively expensive. After all, no new recruit would want to tackle a riot without danger pay.

Secondly, as mentioned, said new recruits should arrive on the next bus (as should all new staff), but this has been discussed before.

well at that point your screwed just in any case but...doors being locked/no gaurds isn't really a problem cause you can just open them manually
