(Suggestion) Intruders

Like films and real events, one day, in Greece, an albanian prisoner was found and arrested. Police discovered his next plans: Attack, explode and free his comrades in a prison.

Some films also show intruders attacking prison to free their comrades.

Why not in game?

Since, Prison Architect hugely lacks of "Random Events" such as weather,blackout, etc which could give a sign of life to the game. How about intruders?

They will rarely come to your prison and free their comrades. Comrades?Yeah, those high security prisoners, who knows who is it.
They should come with a car and 4 members of Mob(Or 8,16, depending how many security forces you got), will attack your prison.
Armed Guards will automatically use their shotgun, and will stay where he is, ignoring his patrol. Guards(Since they dont use guns, yet), will use tazers and get to cover(If they have guns, they should do the same as armed guard, some should go and shoot at them instead) and dog handlers, will stay at Kennel for their own safety. They should attack when a Mob is too close at their Kennel.

Mob gangsters should be armed with guns,shotguns and....rifle?.They should come in 4 members or more, depending how many security forces you have. They will never come if you have less than 20 security forces members or you dont have high security prisoners.

If there is a watchtower(In future), gangsters will get to cover and aim at the guard who is at watchtower. Use bazooka(lol) to explode watchtower at ease, marking huge money damage.

When the mob gangsters arrive, you cannot use fast speed, only normal and bit fast speed and you no longer can call Riot Police or any emergency units until the mob gangsters are killed. Security forces will immediately be alerted and tell them to leave. If they wont, guards will immediately shoot at them, provoking mob gangsters shoot back and prisoners get angry. Bangup should auto-trigger after that. If Mob gangsters enter the prison, a scary music should start and letting you see guards getting killed. At the moment they entered, you no longer can hire security forces until they are killed to prevent you from cheating. If all security forces are killed, prisoners will begin to riot for freedom and leave. At that moment, you can now call Riot Police(Only 1 squad) to stop mob gangsters and prisoners.
If mob gangsters are killed, the scary music will end and security forces will return back to their work. As well as, you wont get another attack for 1 in-game week.

Well. In chase of that. Real life prisons work both ways. The keep the prisoners in and any trespassers out. Also, if that happened the national guard/SWAT/army will be called out in real life. And implementing this will be very hard since getting many of these can break the game.

Any ways yeah the concept could be good in the game. Different uses of the tunneling mechanic to make it more hazardous to prison workings. Currently, we know where all tunnels go; outside. But what if this was changed, with tunnels going to the armory to steal weapons perhaps? Or the security room to take over the cameras. Just more of a diverse range of places where tunnels can go, rather than just outside.

It could be interesting as a long-term thing, not just something that randomly happens, but as a consequence of play in combination with other (not yet present but possibly to be added) features.

If gangs were implemented, a prison with miserable conditions and high recidivism rates might have released or escaped members of a gang attempt to break out their friends - or just the gang leader - who are still in prison. This wouldn't come up until a prison was fairly well established and done right, might add some late-game interest to older and relatively stable prisons, and a savvy player could see several members of a gang were released recently and temporarily relocate the key members of that gang to a more secure wing, as a preventative measure. Same could be done with cell mates, or any kind of (non-violent) relationships added between prisoners.

If done, it should be specific and targeted in some way, though, not just "random crazy guy wants to bust everyone out of prison." As a purely random/undirected thing, it would just be something that had to be prepared for in a generic way all the time, and so not really add much to the game.

Already suggested along with such ideas as "helicopter landing in the yard" and "truck smashing through the fence". Jesus, this is worse than reddit.

It is just that criminals are not so bold in the UK an US, but some minors things should be possible, like shady people approach your prison and throw bags full contraband above the walls, specially if you didn´t built proper exterior walls, but just fences.

this would be a good idea and not game breaking i think

You'd need some sort of collaborator trait. One man jobs aren't enough to do that, but one nicks the keys and his mate nicks the spoons and they're tunnelling around at night. I mean we can't keep track of all those prisoners all the time, and all those fights can be pretty distracting. And if you really wanted to get a gang/block/wing out of prison then you'd really have to tunnel out to get people in to secure the prison.

Not being funny but you could so much fun with that, you could have an entire campaign based around defending a prison from a hostile take over, cutting the power while you have control of it, calling in riot and paramedics, building a new armed guard area and gradually taking the whole thing back.
