Education Programs - Purpose?

Maybe it was posted somewhere and I just can't find it, but do the educational programs have any function yet?

There doesnt seem to have fuctional, prisoners just get learned how to write, math skils etc which absolutely do nothing on their status or effect of the gameplay from what I see.

Yeah, they're just foundation building for a proper educational reform program system which will have actual advantages once outside and maybe even inside like improved morale. The only true function currently is for inmates to be skilled enough to work in the kitchen or workshops but it's new like I said, it'll be built on.

He asked about Education program, kitchen and workshop safety are not education programs, more like its like they are getting trained how to work rather than learn how to spell "hi".

I'm pretty sure they have no function but just to test. Although in the end game, this will work outside the game causing the prisoner that are freed less chance to become prisoners again because of past education level. Also this could cause less "dumb" prisoners to enter the prison for a second time. This is basically the beginning of the Education System.

Right now its just a testing phase to see where you can actually place these in your Prisons (I think)

May be having prisoners ending the programs could give to the administration a certain amounts of money? Like 200$ per prisoners free with a degree in something?

I'm pretty sure they have no function but just to test. Although in the end game, this will work outside the game causing the prisoner that are freed less chance to become prisoners again because of past education level. In additon there should be a new category in the valuation tab that reflects the success of your education system.
