The game needs a roadmap. We need to know what is planned so we can properly offer feedback. That's the deal. That's why we are playing Alpha. If it upsets you that people ask for and discuss things you don't want/need, then I suggest you remove yourself from this place we call a discussion forum.

You consider yourself as participating in a "discussion forum" by naming people differently? "Rcheezy" is the best of your personality? Is this how you conduct yourself in life?

You have nothing to contribute, your suggestions are as meaningless as the penny to me, and your nickname should be "Degenerate" instead of "Citizen."

Additionally, you can give sufficient feedback on the current features of the game. You partially know what is being planned by viewing the Alpha Release videos, and the game files. You don't like that? Go cry elsewhere you child.

Please stop fighting. This is what gives us all a bad name.

I am sure this is your forfeit? So do you admit defeat? Or is this a terrible attempt at humor?

Edit, after reading two other posts. I can see why people tend to avoid the forums. Every attempt to create a suggestion or review eventually turns into a fight between the "veterans" of this forum, ( of course I don't everyone like scaredeyehawk)

(Kinda like how Mojang was with mine craft.)

There was indeed a roadmap when PA was first released and they DID follow it. Only problem is that nearly all points on that roadmap have now been done.

While this discussion is pointless (the devs can do whatever they want, it's their game after all), my own little opinion is this: There is no NEED for them to release a new roadmap. I firmly believe that they have one internally that they're simply not releasing to the public. I can certainly live without it, but I wouldn't scream in protest either if they decided to release it. So I would consider it a "nice-to-have" thing, but not a MUST.

Speaking of roads I would like to see the road re scripted so you can designate the routes the delivery trucks take and like the mod I would like to see the delivery truck arrive with goods instead of works magically having the stuff, all I am sure will be released at some point. In addition I think valuation needs re tweaking as it is too "cheatey" at the moment. maybe the tax man should step in an rake back 50% of the sale. (However I use the valuation as a score of how well I am doing so I would like to continue to see the current values just not receive 50 Million when I sell it.

Exactly my point, only if a vast majority of the community I would want such a requested feature, I think Prison Architect should get a roadmap.

The problem is just that the choice isn't ours, it's the devs choice. Perhaps someone should create a new thread titled '[Suggestion] Roadmap for Prison Architect' and just hope one of the devs will agree with the thread. Small chance any dev/moderator is still reading this after the childish accusations

I don't think that anyone disagrees with that. I think that the problem that RGeezy911 and I had with Citizen's post is that he seemed to be *demanding* a roadmap. That kind of entitlement is annoying.

Right.

Except there is no context in the written word. So you read a sentence and feel that something seemed to be occurring. You go on the warpath to defend your boytoy. Naturally I respond by making you bite the curb and suddenly poor innocent Citizen is making "*DEMANDS*"
-

Xander is an forum bully. Because has a few posts under his belt and has been here awhile he thinks he can dictate what conversations occur and which ones do not, which are worth fleshing and out and which are a waste of (aka-his) time. Some people finally called him out on his childlike antics and how he is in full on attack mode and going ape crazy all over the forums.

Take a break Xander. Nobody demanded anything.

Prison Architect needs a roadmap.

The cognitive dissonance on display here is remarkable.

You might be the perfect stereotype for an American patriot on an internet forum. You would be great material for an essay, would you mind if I quote you? :o

Sad isn't it? I'd say 50% of topics here ends in a petty argument. Picking that number out of the sky though. It could be higher ;)

Not being a native speaker, I seem to miss the ironic overtones in many of these posts. Maybe they should be marked somehow?
I mean... all these fights can not be fought in all seriousness, can't they?

I mean... REALLY???

Death solves all problems - no man, no problem
:D
Now, how do we remove man? Hmm………
The amount of conflict on these forums is present everywhere. Look in any main forum, you'll find it I bet.

I would have to agree with this (the edit). I myself have been at the receiving end of this sort of thing and I don't see the point in it. I agree that it likely discourages new people from offering their opinions when they feel like they will be attacked for it. Some people just play for fun every now and again. Not everyone is going to want to dig in, search and learn the ins and outs of everything PA!

This is a game. Made for entertainment. They released it as an early access alpha for 2 reasons... 1) Get money early & 2) Get player feedback. There is no bad feedback. There is no wrong feedback. I too would like to know what the devs are working on for the next alpha. I haven't looked through the files. I'm not the most familiar with the best places to look for dev info release. If they don't want to release a roadmap then hey, that indeed, is there choice. However asking for one is simply another suggestion/desire of some of the community. The devs want to know what people want and someone has stated something they want.

There is absolutely no reason to come into a forum and flame and slander people. People are always going to disagree. Leave it at that. Be nice and respectful, state your opinion and move to the next post. What's the point in being an anonymous internet Rambo?
