You probably have one of the following:
- No way for prisoners and staff to walk from the road into your prison
- A lake in your land, which is still an experimental feature, and might do things like this

Need more specifics on "all areas." Is it walls or open spaces etc.? Mantis Artifact ID 3154 is tracking issues with walls having no access making demolition difficult.

Sorry. I was on my IPad and needed to type fast as I had little battery left. Here are some screenshots, (the one showing the no access isn't very clear, but the entire map - minus the lakes says no access, I have no trees on the road and there are also no fences on the border of the prison! Image

Can you include some links to the full-size images? It looks like you only posted the thumbnails, which I can't really make anything out of.

I do see some lakes, however, which are considered rather experimental at the moment. Without some more-viewable screenshots, all I can say is maybe you've stumbled into a quirk with lakes.

Im not sure how to do that, I just copied the file directory from the steam uploader, but if you tell me how I will do it. But yeah, I guess that's what has happened.

EDIT: Try these;

I would guess, like Alpha, that it is a problem with lakes - but I'm sure other people must have them, so it might just be where they generated.

Is your prison a large one? (as in the setting when you generate the world)

Lakefisher, in one of your pictures a lake appears to go over the road. This seems to be thought of, but not proven to be, the source of a few different bugs.

Does this happen when you create a new prison with lakes turned off?

Hi Guys

I have the same problem in one of my "small" prisons, and it appears the road goes over a lake:
Image
The guards seem to ignore prisoners, Janitors don't get out of the storage zones .. the only thing that seems to works is food, yard time, shower and staff resting. (and obviously building stuff)
here's the save file: http://puu.sh/64d3h.prison

Doesn't happen without lakes .. Also, I replaced all the Water in blocks [95 0]-[99 40] by Grass and my deployment screen is now normal.

Will add this to the bug report.

This is the key. A map with lakes not working, and then the same map with the lakes removed that works. Sounds like the confirmation that was needed. Which Mantis Artifact ID are you working with?

I recently got this problem when I tried expanding to the right. Strangely, when I expanded again (on the bottom), the problem went away. I have lakes enabled, but none are under the road. I wonder what the cause is.
