Press ESC to continue (Introduction)

Postby snewt » Sat Dec 28, 2013 4:41 pm

During the introduction, my game will not continue past this point (even if I hit esc, it just takes me to menu):
I've tried replaying to this point again and the same thing occurred. I have posted the bug to mantis, but wanted to see if anyone else had this issue, as well (and maybe resolved it so I can play the rest of the intro).

Oh, I was thinking "isn't there more to the tutorial?"

"ESC to continue" was oh so misleading :)

Are you sure the tutorial is done?
I have a friend who plays this and says that the tutorial will go through basically every room type and show you how to play. All I did in this part was execute some guy.

If we start the main game after this "short" tutorial, I have no idea how to play the rest of the game....it just seems like there should be something more.

100% sure. I've played the tutorial multiple times across many of the Alpha releases and it's the same every time.

Your friend is either mistaken.

There will be more when the game is closer to completion. At the moment they're constantly changing the game so any tutorials/scenarios might not function properly after an update. If you're struggling you can search the forums, check the wiki and experiment with the game.

The bolded is definitely at the tutorial. Its an interesting beginning that somewhat familiarizes yourself with the neccessities like running electricity and water, and the basis for buildings.

Everything else is trial and error. \\

I do hope they make an actual tutorial come release. its nice to trial and error your way through but it can be a turn off for some people.
