[Suggestion] Attacks/Escape aid by friends on the outside

Postby MorikTheMad » Tue Dec 17, 2013 6:00 am

Two suggestions:

1) Things like the mafia or gangs digging tunnels from the outside to try to break out a specific prisoner or group of prisoners.

2) Same thing, but instead of digging, they assault the gate or other weak areas in an attempt to break out a specific prisoner or group of prisoners.
Bonus suggestion: if their target(s) get ahold of a cell phone, can help coordinate a riot or other distraction to take place simultaneously with the assault.

My guess is that the developers have this planned as a feature for Alpha 40 or so ^^

My guess is that this gets suggested at least once a work quarter.

Maybe.

But 1: Comming "too late" to the game (like me) and being confronted with a whole univers of already existing proposals/topics is somehow overwhelming. If every new member with (admittedly old) ideas is discouraged to express himself, the forum (or any forum for that matter) is dead in no time. There are some obvious ideas related to this game, you know? Seeing them again and again should be a sign of their popularity and therefore grant them a corresponding place on the schedule.
Of course, using the 'search'-tool is well advised nevertheless. But even then, seeing your ideas already covered and therefore being limited to a "+1" is not very satisfying and doesn't encourage to participate in the forum.

And 2: This idea is very interesting! Right now it is way to easy to build up a smoothly running prison. "Disturbance variables" from outside to stress your design are highly recommended, in my opinion.

There is a suggestion compilation list.

It's pretty helpful for newcomers to see what suggestions had been made already.

...which was updated last time in Nov. 2012 by a member not longer active in the forum.

But you are right, the list should be the first place to get an overview.

There is also another suggestions list: http://devwiki.introversion.co.uk/pa/in ... uggestions
which is meant for anyone in the community to edit, add their own ideas, etc.

again, there's the problem of a lot of areas where it needs to be updated

Most of it seems copy & pasted from the other thread though.

It was. It even says so in the notice at the top of the page. I was just pointing it out as another reference people could use.

is it possible to show up too late during alpha? =P sorry i really just couldn't help myself

+1 on your post

personally i like seeing these pop up over and over again...especially by newer players...would like to think that they get more attention and more chances for players to "tweak" the idea...i'm sure the devs see whats popular that way as well..i agree that the organized list is nice...but like has been noted that those lists are out of date..and the longer a post is on a forum generally the more off topic the conversation seems to get
