First off all I want to give my best wishes to the developers, for this project and especially to the new mother, father and baby.
I hope nobody had mentioned this before - at least I couldn't find it. Currently it is possible to place guards outside the prison. You can abuse this to catch escaping prisoners by placing a guard (or a dog handler) shortly in front of the escaping prisoner. In order to prevent this, you should be only allowed to place guards and dogs inside your prison. When you look at the deploymentmenu, you can see that the game recognize rooms and enclosed outside areas. So I hope that this will be possible. Of course it would be o.k. if all staff members can be only placed inside the prison if this is easier to program and I don't know a reason why you must place a staff member outside.
p.s.: Sorry for my bad english.
[Suggestion] - guards should only allowed to place inside

Re: [Suggestion] - guards should only allowed to place insid
This problem has been noted before. I'm not sure that there is a consensus about an appropriate solution, but I prefer the idea of hired units arriving via bus/delivery truck in the morning.

I'm really not sure why ordering someone to stand outside the prison isn't acceptable. You could easily do this in real life. Frankly this seems like an issue of balance, i.e., in the actual game it will always be more cost-effective to have good internal security than paying people to form a wall around the prison. Eventually snipers will be in which is even cheaper.
Re: [Suggestion] - guards should only allowed to place insid
@muahaa_the_french, I think by "place", madd1nmw means spawn. In the sense that it is currently possible to catch an escaping prisoner by spawning a new guard out of thin air between the edge of the map and the prisoner.

@muahaa_the_french & yos233: Yes yos233, you're right. I mean spawning. As I said my english isn't so good. Sry for that.
@xander: O.k., then it seems that I used the wrong words at the search. Or I'm not so good at it because I only find suggestions for a prisoner bus. But I would be fine with the bus solution. Additionally it would make the personal planing more challenging because you've to plan/think into the future and you can't buy guards during a riot to handle the situation quickly and fire them afterwards. There is only one problem I see. If you have multiple kitchens (large prison or one extra kitchen for the high risk and another for the low & medium prisoners) it could make a problem with matching the cooks for a specific one. I don't know how the game handles them currently, because I only have one kitchen but I would suppose that the cook is add to the kitchen in which he is placed. Is this would be really a problem (maybe it isn't) you can solve it with spawning (but then it would be really placing) the units as usual so that the game memorize the assignment but they'll arriving with the bus the next morning. Another way would be to organize such units who are most the time working in one room (the doctors par example have the same problem) like defining the numbers of prisoners allowing to work at specific places. Maybe this is already discussed in the specific thread which I can't find?
