[Suggestion] Indoor fence/shooting gallery

Postby snarst » Fri Sep 27, 2013 5:10 am

So when prison architect is done I assume we will be allowed to give guards guns if we wish. Well if we want to go for an old style prison in which guards have guns we'd probably want to put some kind of barrier between the guards and the prisoners like some kind of bars. That way they can keep an eye on prisoners and start shooting without the prisoners rushing them before they know what is going on. What I am suggesting is some kind of indoor version of the fence.

Do any of you think this is a good idea?

+1 for barriers, or actually a whole lot of new flooring and wall types

I think the word you're looking for is a shooting gallery. Fences would be nice though as early and cheap separation of rooms.

It's a good idea. First example that comes to mind for me is from the movie with Clint Eastwood "Escape from Alcatraz." I believe it was in the canteen where armed guards stood behind fences.

Please stop doing this. You are neither a moderator nor an admin on these forums, nor do you have the moral authority to referee anyone else's posts. In fact, your own posting habits are quite a bit more problematic than those of any of the people that you have rudely ordered to post in a particular fashion.

+1! I tried this when I first played the game and I was kinda disappointed about not being able to put fences indoors.

Seriously? That's your response? Are you a three year old? Can I ask why you feel the need to order people to conform to your notion of how they should be posting?

Christ...
Do you really think you can do whatever you wish in a community that so far hasn't taken you seriously?

The majority of your posts have been requests on when Alpha 14 will get released, and redundant posts telling others to put [Suggestion] in their topic titles. You haven't really contributed anything very helpful. In my opinion, you just want a higher post count, but you're doing it wrong.

No, you can't. The only people who can do what they want on this forum are Introversion staff members. Anyone else has to obey the rules they have set down else you risk getting yourself banned.

Shooting gallery. I can see it now.

I was originally going for the "no guns behind the wire" approach but if they put them in the game I could see the guards surviving riots in the cell blocks and cafeteria. Just stick them in shooting galleries with guns and lock the door shut so they don't leave before it gets lethal. (The suggestion someone made about "don't leave your post unless x" would work for that)

!!!! Didn't even think of this! I'm already envisioning a prison where the guards and prisoners don't ever meet. Every room is watched by guns behind fences.

Can see going great with the "guard change post with regime". All the guards watching the yard using a staff hallway behind wire to make to to the cafeteria before the lunch rush comes tho the door...
