so as we know currently lawyers have no use in the game.. though i get them for the aesthetic currently in my prisons.
In light of that I would like to propose two ideas on what a lawyer could do in PA to reduce your penalties in your valuation tab.
1. he may be able to slowly reduce your current penalty on both escapes and murders by "talking" to judges and suggesting your prison when sentences are passed. i would assume there would be a % success rate that would be influenced by how long it has been since you have had a serious incident in your prison. combined with the lawyers skill % or something along those lines. this could cost a small daily fee that you pay to your lawyer to do this. also you could include the chief and psychologist in this to increase your success (chief with murder and psychologist with serious injury.) also having more than one lawyer saying good things about your prison may help.
2. he could go threw legal channels to try and get certain incidents sealed or expunged. this would remove 1 serious injury, murder, or escape but would cost a one time fee and would have a chance to fail. also having more than one lawyer on the case may help your chances.
anyway those are my thoughts on lawyers.

We might not know what their FULL purpose is until later... But it very well documented thatg current plans are to have lawyers defer the penalties from escapes and murders.

One idea I had for lawyers was reviewing cases for your prisoners, creating parolees or reducing their sentence time. Pretty handy when you've got a constant intake and need to make space. Of course you could end up with a reputation as a soft touch. All the other architects will make jokes behind your back at architect recess.
Alternatively, when there's been a muddrr on the premises they could bring cases against your inmates for longer sentences or even execution (once your coroner has performed an autopsy, and your chief gathered the evidence - or something, I have no idea how crime works), making sure the son of a bitch that killed Mike the Janitor doesn't walk.
