Drain Blocks door

Postby knoest26 » Sat Aug 03, 2013 6:28 pm

I had built a regular door at a shower room but because the area behind it wasn't finished I locked it shut, now the drain is in front of the door and I can't unlock the door anymore. I tried dismantle, dump, building a wall over it and even demolishing the foundation but nothing has worked. Does anyone else have a suggestion about fixing this?

And yes, I already reported the issue on Mantis

You could try to unlock the whole zone (green) via deployment screen and then try to click on the door

dump or dismantle the drain first, then remove the door?

if that doesn't work, i just had an idea go to your .prison savefile and search for "type door" via str+f.
the code should look like this (for example):

... Type Door Pos.x 72.5000 Pos.y 40.5000 OpenDir.y 0 Mode LockedShut SectorTimer 22.1201 ...

just find "your" door with the coordinates Pos.x and Pos.y.

remove "mode Lockedshut", save et voilá!:)

hope it works :)

believe me, the savegame editing does work on normal doors.
or are you referring to the second post?

oh, if you're still in the building phase, you should replace "Mode Lockedshut" with "Open 1.00000" so the doors stay open for the workmen until prisoners arrive.

like i said before, just edit the savefile. find your door with the map coordinates and modify it as described above.

@ Lighning957.

Can you not just go through the left side of the shower area. Where the shower-heads change direction & dismantle from there and just rebuild when done?

I had the same problem. I'll try the save file method to fix it.

I also had this issue, didn't see any threads about it and just checked the save file myself and managed to fix it. Won't make that mistake again.
