need help running the game

I just bought the game and registration is completed. When I run it the game crashes automatically with a black screen. any help will be greatly appreciated.

I run off of a
lenevo ideapad
Graphics: ati mobility radeon HD 5650
OP: windows 7
Processor: intel I5
I use both my monitor and laptop for display
the monitor resolution is 1920X1080 and laptop resolution is 1366x768
the monitor is the main display.

I bought the game off steam and followed all the step given to me at

I got a confirmation for the registration.

I tried playing the game through steam and I downloaded the latest build.
I played both methods as administrator.
both methods end the same way. I am given a black screen with windows prompting a message

"prisonarchitect.exe has stopped working"

Windows trys to find a solution to no avail and forces the game to shut down.

My first thought would be to try disabling catalyst AI. But, you should probably tell us your system specs, and paste relevant bits from your debug.txt file.

i closed it but I'm guessing that not the same as disabling it.

I disabled catalyst and nothing has changed. the debug.txt is the same as before. any other suggestions?

I'd get steam to check the game's cache as a starting point. It should redownload the preferences file. Your blank version can't be loaded because it doesn't contain the info it needs to.

Try also downloading it directly from introversoin.

Add a profile for the game in Catalyst Control Center and set everything to application controlled.
