Prisoners only go to the holding cell?

Postby ScousaJ » Sun Jul 21, 2013 4:56 pm

My guards do not put my prisoners in their cells, instead all the prisoners are put in the holding cells and thus can't fulfill their sleep needs. They're all low risk prisoners so that might be why. Also, as an aside, how do I turn off fog of war and continuous intake. In the menu, either option I choose (x or no x) doesn't seem to make a difference and fog of war and continuous intake are both on regardless.

Have you actually built and assigned cells? Screenshot?

They only go from the canteen to the holding cell. I do have cells and they're suitable for use, but the guards only escort the prisoners to the holding cell.[/img]

i honestly dont know but you could put beds in the holding area but before you do that try to rezone the cells and keep it in the wall because i see that the collide with the wall/door that might be the reason.

Those all look like minimum security prisoners. It is possible to designate cell blocks for minimum security prisoners in the deployment menu. Have you done so?

Just checked, it was zoned as maximum security! Silly me. However, I still don't know how to turn the fog of war and continuous intake off.

Hit "escape" to bring up the in-game menu, then select "New Prison" here you can change the map size and set fog of war and continuous intake on/off.

Yeh but what is on and what is off? Because no matter what I choose, they are not turned off. Fog of war is always on unless I change it in the save game file, and the same goes for continuous intake option except I don't know how to turn that off in the save game file.

I am fairly certain that this is a known bug. It has been discussed here before in reference to alpha 11.

The behaviour of continuous intake changed with the ability to set what kinds of prisoners you will receive. Assuming that continuous intake is not checked, you can close the prison to prisoners in the prisoner tab of the reports menu.

Fog of war is bugged at the moment as far as I remember.
Even if you switch continuous intake off during creation of a new prison, you still have to open your prisoner report and set the individual categories of prisoner to "closed" to no longer receive any prisoners.
