extended sentences?

Postby JD_skinna » Sun Jun 16, 2013 10:28 pm

would it be possible for the buggers that keep fighting and killing other inmates/staff be given longer sentences? or have the option to transfer them to a supermax? i suppose the first would only be relevant if the sentences went by on like a week/day scale, or something similar.

At some point in the next few builds I imagine that we'll have the option to send them to Death Row. I assume the balance for that is either: You can only off people after a lengthy trial/major crime or if you execute a prisoner the rest get angry. Too many in a short time and you have a riot.

At least, that's how I'd like to see it done. My A10 big test prison has one guy who just won't stop shanking people no matter how many times I catch him with the contraband and I'd really like to throw the switch on him.

I guess the problem is that only a court issued death warrant can send someone to the death row. Not the prison administration.

On the other hand, if a prisoner fights, and you charge him with assault, adding more time, that could be a deterrent to other prisoners and certainly to the prisoner being punished.

Also, the three strikes rule. If you're in for a minor crime, (say, 1 year sentence), and you get into three fights/occur three charges, your sentence gets drastically increased, up to 25-30 years. It's a major deterrent in US prisons, and if you're serving life, it can be the death row after 3 strikes.

I know the death warrants must be court-issued, but since this is MY prison, sometimes I want to make them "disappear". After verifying that they have no family that cares about them of course.

If you want to get rid of a prisoner, you can always arrange for an "unfortunate accident" in your prison.
I've heard water and electrical gadgets are a lethal combination.
And you also have valves and circuit breakers to your disposal to play around with and build the perfect death trap.

I'm pretty sure you can change a prisoners security level when you click on them from normal to high. Wouldn't they then get sent to your maximum security wing if you have one?

I'd imagine we might get a feature that allows us to send guards to "rough up" prisoners if they're behaving badly or if we just feel like it. A downside would be that the prisoner who you rough up, and any prisoners who witness it might start feeling a little bit more riotess
