No voice audio off the livestream - but there is gameplay audio for when they're in game. Weird.

It's not all that strange, if you ask me. Yes, it's a choice that I would not have made and may be a little strange, but sounds from the outside world (which need a microphone to record) are completely different from sounds made by the computer you are recording on.
