45 GB debug.txt

Postby tommiehz » Fri May 24, 2013 12:48 am

So today I got a message about low HDD space remaining. So I did some digging and found that my Prison Architect debug.txt had somehow acquired 45GB worth of data.
Ofcourse having never deleted that folder in upgrading, it has had a while to gather it all.

Just something to keep an eye on, delete the file and on next start up it will be remade as a new small file.

Just looked at mine, only 702kb, but still pretty big for a txt file.

Opened it up, and 99% of it is made up of:

"SoundSampleDecoder ERROR reading ogg data from 'data/sounds/hour2_stereo.ogg'"

Repeated over and over.

3.38KB, I'm afraid you only take FIRST LOSER.

Also, doesn't the game usually replace debug.txt each time you run it?

Looks like it normally does - mine's down to 1.8 MB. Sounds like a bug for sure, weird one.

Mine is only 53.8 KB. Maybe these logs only started logging in later alpha versions when I stopped playing every day?

The point of the thread was to bring up a problem with the error logging and see if anyone else had the same thing happen. tommiehz mentioned deleting in his post.
