Nope, I was emailing support about a different thing and they mentioned an Alpha-9 at the least. We still(thankfully) have a ways to go for them to implement more lovely features.

Omg, I'm really happy that's finally fixed, that will probably allow me to play large maps at last because the pathfinding will no longer be spammed to death by prisoners always deciding that the best toilet to take a leak at is the one at the other end of the jail xD

I think the alpha's going to run for a long time yet. The green in the bug tracker is more indicative of an imminent alpha release.

Yeah, there's loads of features to add. The kick starter interest should keep the IV people scarved and fed for a while yet!

For the record, I never want the retail game released I just want the game to keep growing and growing and growing.

Not even close. I'd say it will be at least another year before the game is ready to head into beta. Quite possibly longer.

If I recall correctly IV stated that this alpha is likely to last a long time.

I do, however, not care at all. I'd prefer this to stay in alpha if we get a lot of additional stuff to play with: Cells for more than 1 prisoner, Visiting rooms, Parking lots to go with those visiting rooms, Laundry, etc. etc. (all mentioned in their proper suggestins threads).

So, now I have to excuse myself: Time for prison-architecting! :-D
