"Wee" vs. "Urinating"?

Postby ShepFan » Sat Feb 23, 2013 5:12 pm

In alpha 7, I noticed a prisoner (that had just been liberated from a medical bed by dismantling it) standing in place, "Urinating." I hope "Wee" and "Poo" haven't been changed, I rather liked the whimsy.

This is not new, and it happens when a prisoner has to wee/poo so much that he can't even run for the toilets and soils himself. If your prisoner was stuck in the medical bed for a long time, it probably filled its wee need, and when you released him he satisfied his most urgent need.

I had that happening to a prisoner who was left standing on the side of the road for a very long time after being delivered to my prison. After a guard finally took pity on him and ecorted him to his cell, the poor guy immediately soiled himself. I noticed because I was watching him the whole time, hoping he would make it to the canteen before mealtime was over (he didn't). I saw his status change to "Urinating", his Bladder need went down, but his Hygiene need went up the same amount, so he really wanted to clean himself afterwards. Quite understandable.

he isnt talking about WHERE he is doing the deed .. I think he is talking about the name of the deed. Urinating vs WEE .. where wee and poo are cute references without being offensive.

So "urinating" is offensive now? May I ask where you live?

That's what we've been trying to convey: The name of the deed shows where the deed is done. "Wee": The prisoner got to a toilet in time. "Urinating": The prisoner did not reach a toilet in time, so he's just doing the deed wherever he is.

Both to me are fitting in either context.

Yeah I thought 'wee' was the, er, job in hand or what the prisoner task was.

Urinating meant he was pissing his pants at that moment

Well, my votes for 'weeing', as it fits with the need and also sounds nicer - less medical.
