Open your save file in notepad, search for funds and change the value beside it. Save the notepad, open the game and your done.
Yes, that is a penguin with rabies. Deal with it.

no like uplink, i ask for no cheats at all at the final 1.0 release.

Well, I don't mind waiting a bit for the Dev menu, but I wish you would fix the deployment... Where do I submit bugs?

I think features are more relevant now, as we want to see what additions will affect the overall game play. A debug feature or editing feature would just take players away from the actual feel of the game and down another path.

Plus it's another thing that might break when new features are added, and will need looking after I reckon

Chris wrote:Hello!

We suspect there's a lot of people who'd like to get their hands on those things in a future Alpha update, and indeed this was always planned. Some people will like having access so they can play the game differently / more sandboxy without having to worry about money or fighting, others may be into modding and want to control the game better, others still may be programmers who are curious how it all works. Personally I still geek out at pathfinding visualisation and heat maps, but that's just me.

It's all a trade off though - if we spend time getting the tools and cheats ready, everything else will be held up.

So at this point in time, would you rather we spent time doing a tools & cheats alpha, or would you rather we spent the time working on more game features?

We understand that some people believe we can do everything at once and that we should simply bundle all the tools and cheats with all the new features in the next alpha, so we've included an option for you too.

At this point in time, there have already been lots of features added. What about making Alpha 20/21 the Dev-Cheat Mode release, and then going back to adding new features AFTER that?

No.

I'll personally find more enjoyment in new features rather than a cheat menu that will bore everyone in a matter of minutes.

Also, stop vandalizing the dev wiki. If I have to start private messaging board moderators / administrators in an attempt to get Chris' attention just to block all your IPs from making edits on the wiki, then I will.

Again, stop blanking articles on the wiki with no reason for doing so / poor reasons.

I personally would like to see some more visualisations of background game data exposed to the player, like the overlay that shows where escape tunnels would go (possibly without showing or considering already dug tunnels), but no features that would enable the player to alter the game.

I like that you listen to the public.
I would like to see the debug and "cheat" tools make a showing in the game. I think that it has been enough additions to the game.

Please take notice, this topic was originally created by Chris about 2 years ago. The poll has since ended, and most players voted for features.

JASper simply bumped this old thread to the top.
