Prisoners have needs, so should workers/guards - Even to the point of being dishonest

Option to segregate certain prisioners from general population - sex offenders, gays, informants etc

Visiting hours for friends family

Normal wear and tear maintenance

Occasional protestors out front - people opposed to the death penalty, or people demanding that the cop killer get the chair (secondary use for riot police/fire)

Formation of prison gangs/cliks and the option to hire gang unit type guards

Smuggled contraband in normal delivery items forcing guards to search deliverys or even hire dogs to sniff out drugs[/list]

Aww, c'mon, it's not that bad. The fact that you'd find it shocking that they'd segregate gays but not females in itself is nonsensical. They segregate females and males in prisons for obvious reasons, so why shouldn't gays and males be segregated for the exact same reasons?

The segregation of prisoners based on sexuality is a semi hot button subject at the moment. The devs may or may not choose to have something like this available, but I think that it is not likely. Let's not turn this thread political, shall we?

And the seperation of different sexes is more to do with the increased risks of sexual assault, and of pregnancies putting more costs on the system.
