Postby Adico » Mon Oct 29, 2012 11:59 pm

Hello!

So the next 5 rooms were made by my BUT i don't think about all of them, for example the school rehab room. This is just to kinda suggest how would it work or at the very least how would it look.

Do remember that the requirement, layout and descriptions will change if Chris/Mark pick the idea up.

I would like to see schools and libraries in the game maybe as part of a grant that includes prisoner's bettering themselves while incarcerated.

I would like to see much more activities for prisoners included. Expecially more recreational ones, as well as work based ones and rehabilitation.

Don't try to turn this game into The Sims.

Unless they think they can add serious depth without making the game be more complicated and boring, there are enough rooms as they are.

i don't want to turn the game into anything, this rooms could add depth, having talk groups on prisons is a real thing and it would make prisoners more humane, possible express need the otherwise we won't see or maybe talk about how maybe another prisoner is making a escape tunnel or thinking about it. Libraries are an actually important part of a prison this days, a lot of prisoners have a high level of lecture on prisons (at least here in Argentina) there are many book been read and is prove (at least here) the reading books makes the prisoners happier and allows them to continue a life after the prison, if talk about PA maybe if implemented prisoners would be happier and maybe require less needs. Schools are an other great example of how real prisons deal with the fact that some of the intakes are actually very intelligent and some of the prisoners might want to be better.

I can keep typing and typing but i think you get the idea, it won't be a gimmick it would add a layer of more emotional and humane stuff into the game, at least until visits room, we won't get much.

Goddamn hippies.

Seriously though, I like the idea of some sort of drug treatment facility. That said, do such things exist in real prisons or is all handled by the medical centre and psychologists?

Talk group: prisoner spills the beans about an escape plan. You find him shanked and gutted the next day. No one comes to the talk group anymore after that.

The game definitely needs more of this kind of thing. Right now prisons are so bland and empty and you have little real sense of a goal. Now rehabilitating prisoners, that's a direction it sorely needs.
