Is working, but is storing the NickName in the LastName and the LatsName in the NickName.

Huh, I thought I just fucked up somehow. I found that it worked properly the second time.

Successfully doesn't work for me, which is good - it shouldn't, given that I don't have the right tier.

Wait..what?

Postby LastHuman » Mon Oct 29, 2012 11:50 pm

Maybe this is already stated somewhere, although I did read through the posts, but will those who already sent in their bios through the old email system need to use the new script option to resend their information?

Just posted mine. It works great. Having a blast to read them all, you should keep it open to everyone to read.

Confirming this. But on edit it works as expected!

IT WORKED, THE GODFATHER LIVES. But the nickname and lastname are stored the wrong way round. Ah well.

The nickname and surname was flipped here, I went back and checked but I did it right the first time, should I go back and put them in the wrong spots so the report is right or leave it?

It said that it worked and the data was updated. However, when I pulled up everyones info, it wasn't on there.

Also, I didn't realize that you can have a nickname AND a surname. As I understood the directions, you can have one or the other. Is it possible to reset mine? "Phillip Vector"?

Ok - I think I've fixed the nickname bug - good spot. If your nickname is the wrong way around you'll need to resubmit to ensure it's correct in the final game.

I think we're good to go with this, and we'll launch it with the next update which is coming soon. To answer a few questions:

1. We will need everyone who submitted via the gmail list to resubmit. Really sorry about that.
2. If you want to make a change, just resubmit your entry. We get notified and then review and authorise it.

I really appreciate your help with this.

Mark,

I recommend you to do a server-side check of the lengths of all the submited info, since deleting the javascript to avoid more than 140 chars you are allowed to submit a BIO with any length. (You can check now that my BIO has 141 chars).

Also check for banned words.

I'm not going to do it because it may broke how the file is created (I don't know how is created but may be a problem).

EX. "My name is\nEND\nBEGIN prisoner\n FirstName\t\twhoohohohoooo"

Maybe check for the jumps of line and the words you are using to create the file "BEGIN" "END" etc.

I've noticed that my bio was authorised, minus the actual bio.

Edit: Twice.

It's working, but it seems the script does not like quotes ( " ) at all. My bio was whole while on the "unauthorized" list, but when I got the authorized email and checked it, the bio is cut off at the first quotation mark.

I'll try again with apostrophes instead.

EDIT: It worked with the apostrophes.

I just tried and the system accepted my submission. My bio has not been correctly submitted though, on the email confirming my submission, the bio was the same as the first name of my character. (I bought the $50 tier btw)

Did your bio originally begin with Charles "Iron Fist" Duval, by any chance?

Mark, are you after anyone to help with the verification process for bio's?
