[Bug] Workers forgetting to complete tasks

Postby PsyKzz » Wed Oct 03, 2012 7:02 pm

I've been messing around a lot on the sandbox.prison and i found that if you create a massive prison and assign a large number of tasks to the workers, they tend to just randomly forget to do some tasks and fail to complete them.

You would need to remove the item and replace it for them to complete the task.

Also can anyone confirm, is the tasks list a FIFO ( First in, first out ) system?

EG new stuff goes to the back of the queue? Sometimes im noticing that the workers just to go the task that is closest and there is no real priority to their tasks?

I've noticed this too, particularly when constructing very large buildings. My workers will typically not install some of the lights (maybe 15% of them) and if I'm constructing power at the same time they'll forget about some of those too. All the items say they failed due to lack of materials, though the materials are sitting in the storage room / delivery area.

As you say cancelling and replacing the item jogs their memory.

I can confirm this one. Laying water pipes and/or electric cable down, noticing that the workers have stopped but the lights are still off/toilet still not usable, realising 1 or 2 pieces of cable or piping haven't been laid.

I've seen it too.
Also to note, delivery trucks stop coming if you stop zoning new projects and then they forget about completing them.

It's very frustrating.
