[Bug?] Staff needs no food or toilet yet never goes home

Postby Webarchitect » Wed Oct 03, 2012 1:23 pm

As per the title.

Seems like the staff does not need to eat, go to the toilet or rest. Yet they never leave the building.
Not sure if this is a bug, not implemented feature or just the way it is supposed to be.

As a suggestion:
Would be nice for staff to work only on some shifts and then go home.
Would also be cool for them to need toilets and a special canteen for staff.

I can hear the pep talk right after the hiring interview. "Here is your uniform, billy-club, and infinite-colostomy bag. See the doctor on the way out to get that last part attached".

Perhaps they are meant to be androids, courtesy of the robot overlords who, it turns out, rule supreme in the game world? Now there's a twist to the story!

Having to plan time schedules for staff would be too much of a hassle and be less fun!

Interesting perspective.
However I imagine many people would think that building and administrating a prison would also be more of a hassle than a fun game, and yet here is Prison Architect!

Indeed!

I want my janitors working lockdown hours only. Except cell cleaning of course, which must be done during yard time.
Workmen must also follow strict schedule for safety reasons.

All of this should be optional but possible IMO.

I wouldn't mind having to look after their needs but having to whole ROTA system for them would be a bit overkill.
Something simple, like meals. eating, sleeping and downtime ( away from prisoners ) would be good for me.

Would also expand on the buildings types as well.

I'd love to see employees have a similar system to inmates - possibly even a "time table" schedule so you'd have to employ enough people for guard shifts et cetera. (Lower wages to balance of course)

Would be awesome fun to have a staff only canteen that prisoners would try and break into (low security compared to the public mess)
