What does "Polaroid" mean?

Postby Bahger » Tue Oct 02, 2012 10:31 pm

I've occasionally seen -- or iadvertently made -- a little red icon on the map that says "Polaroid". Does anyone know what this is about?

You must be very young. It's a photo. Google it. They'll probably be collectables in the game.

Oh I'm not young at all. And I know what a Polaroid is. I just didn't understand this particular function within the game, or how it's activated.

Presumably they'll be collectibles, probably depicting the room you just built.

Having more than 1 'research' queued up in bureaucracy creates a polaroid in the warden room for me.

I guess it will be for tasks/missions like the one in the tutorial, click it and it shows you a story and says you have 5 days to build an execution chamber etc.

That's a bit of a presumption to make, not a bad one though... I kinda like it.

Probably some kind of easter egg game. Polaroids also featured in IV's treasure hunt which lead solvers to finding a teaser video of Prison Architect.

Or a form of achievement. There's ostensibly 29 of them and one's triggered by actually doing something useful.
