each year or two! there could be a visit from inspectors that could offset your financial state or add or subtract helpfull workers.
what this means. If you are clrealy doing too good a job with nice tidy prison and no fighting or trouble then they could penalise you. and likewise for the opposite if its deemed that your prison is suffering the tax payers could inject some new bodies to help. this new idea could help in gameplay balancing later on down the road depending on the overall general feedback for this game mode we play at present. or introduce a roguelike aspect furthering the inevitable outcome of your wardenship.

I agree! And maybe a few points added or subtracted from the score based on his/her verdict!

Re: Feature request - prison inspectors !
I see what you're saying but I think this goes against good gameplay. You're punishing people for doing well. Having a scenario where you're brought in to aid a failing prison would be good though, with a few grants to help.Pixelchaser wrote:If you are clrealy doing too good a job with nice tidy prison and no fighting or trouble then they could penalise you. and likewise for the opposite if its deemed that your prison is suffering the tax payers could inject some new bodies to help.
I like the idea of inspectors but I think you've got it the wrong way around. They should give you bonuses for achieving above and beyond the tasks set for you. They probably shouldn't absolutely cripple your prison if you're doing badly because that would effectively ruin that game, but they should maybe give you ultimatums to improve things with bonuses if you do. If you don't, maybe they send in someone from 'outside' to run that area.
However, that doesn't mean that they can't be a good challenge element - they could easily be very harsh judges and if they saw, for example, dirty shower room on one particular day, then you would have to fork out for a better shower area.
What about the idea of random inspections as well? Just don't mention the war?

Sorry, absolutely agree - I misread the first post.. oops. Otherwise you'll have the situation where players try to make their prison as awful as possible just prior to the inspection so they get more bonuses.
Random inspections would be annoying, stressful and awesome!
