[Bug] Water damages CCTV

Postby ks » Mon Oct 01, 2012 3:03 pm

I'm not sure if that's a known bug but I've noticed that if you install CCTV inside the shower room, it'll get damaged by water whenever prisonners take a shower.

That sounds realistic to me, actually. Unless CCTV will not work anywhere in the shower room, regardless of wetness.

That does make sense...
Plus, I'm not sure of this, but I think it's illegal to install cameras in showers and bathrooms, even in prisons. They use guards to cover blind spots.

If you install a drain below the cctv it won't get damaged anymore.

It makes sense if the CCTV is on the floor, but it's not. CCTV should be "waterproof".

The model in the game indicates that it's the standard CCTV you see all over the place, if that's the case its fitted high up the wall. Unless the entire region in which the prison is built is flooding to the point that everyone should be dead or waving their T-shirts on the roof - the CCTV should work.

I don't see the reason for CCTV getting damaged by a bit of dampness either. :?

Wasn't there a bug a while ago where Chris put CCTV in the shower and electrocuted everyone to death?
