(Most) Prisoners don't go cells

Postby reedy » Sat Sep 29, 2012 12:11 am

I have 2 cell blocks, but nearly all (it seems only one or 2 do) won't go to cells...

They'll go for showers as a hoarde, and go overwhelm the kitchen. But the rest of the time they just sit in the holding cell.

Or am I supposed to assign them to cells, and let the guards escort them? Every time!?

Are the cells at least 2x3? Are your guards stuck? If not, how many do you have, and how many prisoners have you got? :)

No-one can really say without screenshots or information :)

Yeah, the cells are of size, with beds and toilets.

Even from the start of the round, none of them bothered to try and go to them... Maybe they didn't want to walk to them or something.

The game crashed (boooo) before I saved it, so I'll just have to try again and see if they play ball. Though, seems to have autosaved...

And taking a screenshot (using Windows) gives a blank screen. Fraps it works with....

Hmm.

The valuation report says:

Prisoner Capacity (2) $2000

The game presumably thinks it's only has 2 cells? I wonder if this is a result of my "Can't split one floor map into 2 rooms" bug... http://forums.introversion.co.uk/prison ... .php?t=326

How is your Regime configured? Lots of free [or otherwise scheduled] time? Prisoners only seem to be in their cells during sleep and unassigned time.

If you have defined one big cell and then split it up with walls then it is still only one big cell. Try de-designating the whole block, then re do each cell individually

I made this mistake in one of my first play through. Couldn't work out why they were doing it - once I realized I facepalmed pretty hard.
