If you can do things on Pause, why run the clock?

Postby Bahger » Fri Sep 28, 2012 7:20 pm

Sorry if there is a self-evident answer to this question but I was just wondering about the nature of the challenge in the game. It's essentially a race against the clock. At least, I thought it was until another post mentioned that tasks could be accomplished while the game is paused. If it's possible to build and hire while the game is paused, does this not make the gameplay much less demanding?

Good to know, though, thanks. I might use it sparingly just to avoid getting stampeded.

Oh gosh, I don't know. Maybe perhaps to play the game? Receive income? Get more prisoners? Unlock things?

You can build while paused because at times you might want to que many things.

It's not necessarily wise to queue lots of jobs up at once anyway. Pausing the game, building loads then unpausing suddenly gives your workers loooaaads to do, and this can really effect the speed with which they complete tasks. Definately don't queue up vital tasks at the same time as unneccesary ones.

This also leads to the problem (Mostly with small pipes I've found), of materials getting jammed in the road or other areas, resulting the red "Job cannot be finished: Materials not found" status. :)
