[ Suggestion ] Doing business with the inmates.

Postby JimTheDog » Fri Sep 28, 2012 12:16 pm

Okay, so. Classic element of the prison system: corrupt guards and wardens.

I want to be able to pay off Jones 'The Sledgehammer' Pontson with a dozen packets of cigarettes, in exchange for which he will shank a prisoner who keeps breaking his cell equipment and annoying me. I would like to arrange for the guards to leave some hapless prisoner in the yard overnight with the guard dogs, thus getting paid off by the mob for eliminating one of their problems. I want to be able to torture prisoners by leaving them in solitary until their families cough up enough money for me to allow said prisoner to make parole.

...

I'm not a nasty person! Really! I'd just like to see some options for making money that are not based in the benevolence of society awarding grants for providing prisoners with humane living standards.

Agree, i hope they dont go with realism only, i would like a darker aspect on the game, option to do naughty stuff.

im definitely all for more options, let people play a prison the way they want, be it a hightech honest prison, or a corruped low tech prison or whatever.

For some reason i have this idea of an inspector or inspectors coming at random time with short notice to visit your prison, like say in Theme hospital, you if you are doing naughty stuff you better stop it quickly before he or they come, and make sure they dont talk to the prisoners.

I'd also like to see more mundane stuff too...like prisoner run laundries, farms, etc.

Chance to make ongoing income/reduce costs in exchange for start-up capital.

I would love to set "Work" in the Regime too... . On this way we could get over these "60 new prisoners" groups easier.. lol

I believe the workshop is an early (very unfinished) example of this mechanic.

Oh yeah these are definitely good choices as well.

I also assume we have to build somewhere for family and friends to come and visit prisoners, thats another source where stuff you dont want can be brought into the prison.
