[Bug] Metal detectors prevent doors from closing

Postby weasello » Thu Sep 27, 2012 6:53 pm

If you build a layout like this:

Code: Select all

WWW
  W
  WW
  OD
  WW
  W
WWW

(W = wall, O = Metal Detector, D = Door)

The door will never close; it seems to get caught up on the metal detector. I can fix it by putting a blank tile between the two, but any door right up against a detector causes a problem.

The metal detectors do in fact work. I'm not sure what type of placement they require but you know they're working because if you hover over one of them, it will show jobs in progress. (Searches).

Here's a video.

I have build it like you:

Code: Select all

F  F
F  F
FFOF
FFDF

W = Wall
F = Fence
D = Door
O = Metal Detector

And the doors are closing. What "doors" do you use? "Doors" or "Jail Doors"? I have some bugs with "Door"s too - everywhere.

Yeah, just standard doors, not jail doors.

Both Jail doors and regular wooden doors stay open if they are adjecant to a detector. (and even 2 tiles apart apparantly judging by my kitchen)
