The reason you couldn't create outdoor yards was because that fence didn't have a door securing the yard. The requirement isn't "has walls", it's "behind one door". :)


To further qualify it needs walls and a door - just like an outdoor building. Fences work fine for this purpose.

It's worth noting that it takes longer (noticeably so) to build a fence. Perhaps the trade off is money for time?

There is only the absolute bare bones of the game atm, i mean even the price on walls and fence are kinda off.

There will come some changes i dont doubt, like walls being more expensive, but fences having other op and down sides.

I like this suggestion. Fences are great as they are quick to build, just a token value would be good.

A brick wall fence is easier to get over than a razorwire fence...

Certainly depends on how tall said brick wall is. At least fences are thin and can be cut - you need some incredibly good climbing skills to get up a vertical surface with nothing to grab a hold of :lol:

While fences are free you can't actually build them if you have negative funds. :P
