66 prisoners in a single load - well played, IV, well played

I take it this load of prisoners on... day 3? is by design to basically end the game right now? I really don't see how I can manage that many prisoners with the current income they offer.

Maybe they're gearing up for an orgy?

Anyway, how many beds do you have?

Hmmm... Lets see.

I have a 4x4 holding cell with two benches. I have 2x6 cell blocks (single bed) as well as a 1x6 one with solitary rooms.

My kitchen holds 12 seats, my yard is a big 14x14 one with 4 phones and 4 bench presses (not sure if these factor the prisoner intake)

When you say "4x4", do you mean 4m by 4m in size, or 16 beds?

If it's the former - there's your problem!

Also, you need to click on prisoners and right click to transfer them to cells / other holding pens manually. Otherwise they'll all just sit in the first holding pen.

The former - It is just a 4 by 4 room with two benches. It is twice of what the game initially wanted me to build for the first wave(s) of prisoners.

I did not know about the manual transfer - I've seen guards move people to single cells (or maybe that was because the holding cells were overcrowded?) so I never manually moved anyone (even though I know the feature exists from playing the intro)

So basically - move prisoners before the holding cells get crowded and the game won't flood me?

Edit: To futher explain - the actual cell blocks consists of 6 single bed cells each - for a total of 18 cells (and a block of 6 solitary ones)

I tend to build a larger holding pen with around 6-8 beds, three toilets, and a few benches. This keeps them occupied for up to a day or two before they go nuts, which is useful as a buffer if things are going wrong. From there, you really need one cell per prisoner. If you've got 64 prisoners, you need 64 rooms with 64 beds and 64 toilets. This gets huge and expensive, and difficult to police, so I tend to make a few larger cells with multiple beds, and a single holding pen inside the prison with a few beds. You can cycle prisoners between each for a day and they remain reasonably happy.
