[bug] Mobiles not pathing around locked doors

Postby DonGonzo » Thu Sep 27, 2012 1:24 am

Description:
Workmen will not path to an open albeit longer alternate route if a door is impassable.

To Repeat:
Build a C shaped foundation with doors at the top and bottom of the C shape.
Set the bottom door to staff only, set the top door to Nobody.
Initiate construction of something along the top edge of the C, I used electrical cable.

Expected Behavio(u)r:
Workmen should attempt to go the shortest path first, realize that path is unavailable and pursue any available route, even if it's quite long.

Actual Behavio(u)r:
Workmen, coming and going, clump on the impassible door making it difficult to unlock the door at the very least. They never attempt to walk the longer route.

I've only found this with workmen, it presumably applies to other mobiles as well. Sorry if this is dupe, gave the board a quick once over and didn't see it.

I can definately second this, and say it applies to cooks, prsoners and guards too.
I had one kitchen with a canteen off it to either side. The doors between the kitchen and canteens were staff only, yet everyone tried to go through the kitchen (And yes there was an alternative public route).
