Game doesn't start

downloaded, unzipped, ran, nothing.

I am also having the same problem. I downloaded the game unzipped it and ran it. Nothing was displaced just a blank screen I had to do a hard restart as windows appeared to have locked up. Anybody help me?

kind of glad it's not just me. Mine also goes to a black screen but then backs back out into Windows.

there is a debug.txt in the application folder, could you please paste that here?

On Windows 7 or Vista: c:\users\your-username\appdata\local\introversion\prison architect\
On windows XP: c:\documents and settings\your-username\local settings\application data\introversion\prison architect\
On Mac OS X: ~/Library/Application Support/Prison Architect (in Finder press Command + Shift + G and paste that in)

the file it says it fails to fine, can you check if that path does indeed exist?

The path exists but no preferences.txt. I created a blank one thinking it may populate it if it had something to use but it made no odds.

also how come the path it looks for uses a mix of /'s and \'s when the path is C:\Users\Mark\AppData\Local\Introversion\Prison Architect all with \'s
