[BUG] Money is not taken from balance in pause mode

If you pause the game and build something (for example a wall around the prison area) the money is not taken from your balance until you unpause the game. This means you have no idea how much you're spending and can obviously end up spending more than you have and running out of money when all you have is a wall

I assume that's working as desired, as it means you can cancel construction without it costing any money.
What'd be nice though is if there were a "running total" of sorts for all expenditures while paused.
