It seems that lib curl.dylib 7 is for Mountain Lion (probably mountain lion compiled). Need to be confirmed by dev though.

OS X 10.6.8 uses an out of date library (libcurl) that will need updating first

I'm not sure on the specific past that so a google search may help. Just know you need to install libcurl 7 on your machine.

I'm having trouble with libcurl 7 - don't know how to install it. I've emailed IV and in the meantime am running the windows version in wineskin on my Mac - at least it's something

Try installing Homebrew which is a package manager for MacOS: http://mxcl.github.com/homebrew/

Then install libcurl from that and see if that helps at all.

Quite possible that Prison Architect might not use the Homebrew installed version but worth a try!

Please IV, either compile libcurl into the binary or build PA on a snow leopard machine. Then it also runs on a SL mac.

If possible, you could also built it for Mac OS Tiger (10.5.. There are still intel based macs with this old OS version out there.

I think this needs to happen too. I still can't run the OSX version on my snow leopard machine. After paying $50 today, that doesn't feel too good

Of course I do mate, no need for such silly questions. However, I wouldn't have paid for it yet if I thought it wasn't going to run natively in OSX.

I'm sure this problem will get fixed in due course anyway so let's leave it there and keep the thread on topic. Thanks.

I don't know if this works, this is pure theory. And I can't try it since I'm 10.8

Libcurl 7 can be found and installed from here : http://pdb.finkproject.org/pdb/package.php/curl

Since it's using the Mac directories, updating those can be helpful. Try installing this, and see if it works better.

Once again, this is just untested.

I got it to work by copying across /usr/lib/libcurl.4.dylib from a 10.7.5 machine onto my 10.6.8 machine. Probably not much help for people who don't have access to newer systems though.
