Does anyone elses room tool flip out?

Sometimes my room tool goes a bit funny and lets me zone a room twice or even more. It shows the checkers for it and everything. Also I noticed it still showing the graphic for measuring out a room like I haven't let go of the mouse until the room is finished zoning....and sometimes the zoning process takes so long I have to leave my game and get a drink or something...and I need to mute my speakers cause that chalkboard noise is too loud (I'm a bit noise sensitive). Also the tree planting noise is so loud and constant if you have a big area. Has anyone made a mod to mute or change that?
