Where did these Maximum Security Prisoners come from?

Hello all,

I am trying to create a prison with only Normal and Minimum Security prisoners; however, I've noticed that many of my prisoners are maximum security and I have no idea how they got here. Are there certain conditions that, when met, will convert a Normal Security prisoner to Maximum Security? How can this be?! I could just change them all to Normal Security but I'd rather find out how they got here in the first place.

Hello Finalmike,

Do you get a view in the 'reports' button at the right bottom of your screen? Then click 'intake' and set maximal security until 0.
But if you do this now, there are already Max sec. inmates in your prison. You can't send them away so you have to build a cell block with facilities for them.

if they murder someone in your prison they will be automatically set to maximum security.
