Cell not enclosed

Postby K33NY » Sat Oct 24, 2015 10:40 pm

Tried to google for answer on this but cant find it anywhere.

I have a cell in my prison that was working perfectly before, then suddenly it sais it is not enclosed, so I search the room for tunnels, nothing, I dismantle toilet, not, I tear down walls and door, still doesnt help, I even bulldozed and rebuilt the cell and the ones near it (which where working fine, and still it sais it is not enclosed.

Is this is a bug or am I missing something very obvious?

Maybe the room assignment includes the door?
Can you show us screenshots of this cell (plus deployment screen)?

Depending on the room, sometimes it will need to have adjacent walls (like no spacing between the room and the walls) with a staff or jail door somewhere in those walls.

Is there a tile in that room that doesn't have 'cell room' on it? I've found that sometimes I miss a corner so there's one un-roomed tile = not enclosed error.

noe every tile is marked like the others, it just suddenly stopped working out of nowhere, I tried tearing sown walls an remove everything without luck, I even bulldozed the whole cell + nearby cells so it became outdoors, and then rebuild, but that cell specifically just wont work as it should :/

Everything looks correct in the cell, the room is applied to the whole room, it's enclosed with walls/door. Possibly a game bug. What happens if you save game and reload? If still showing enclosed error, then probably best to report it as a bug: http://bugs.introversion.co.uk/bug_report_page.php

Can you please show us a screenshot of your deployment screen (and maybe of intelligence, too)?

Ok, I tested your prison you uploaded to mantis.

Aside from some other (partial security) issues, the problem with your cell is, that it's been tunnelled. You bulldozed and build it new, so you don't see the hole any more (I guess you could see it before?).
But in fact the tunnel underneath still exists. You have to remove it with the tunnel remove tool in materials. Farther to the left you have another cell with a visible hole!

Plus there are some events like fires and such where a cell will no longer work, but all you need to do is bulldoze and remove the walls and the foundation and rebuild and that usually fixes that issue just in case that happens to you :) best of luck with your jail!
