What am I doing wrong?

I just bought this yesterday, and I can't figure out why the todo list isn't crossing out installing and connecting the sink, refrigerators, cookers, and putting in the bin. What am I doing wrong?

Make sure your Kitchen is labeled correctly. While in the Rooms Menu, select the Kitchen, then Click & Drag in the location you want it in. The room will then check for required items, and should check them off the to-do list.

Also keep in mind, small water pipes can only provide water pressure for a limited distance, so make sure the water icon for the sink isn't blinking.

Place the pipe directly UNDER the sink and it should work.

Not sure this is still the case, but last time I played Alpha small pipes would only support up to 15 (?) tiles. Try using big pipes

No, it's 40 (or 39), so the distance shown is short enough, so it's correct to avoid large pipes, as they are helping prisoners with tunneling (and are more expensive).

Holy.Death's answer probably is the one needed here: You have to place a pipe on the same tile as the sink. (It doesn't even have to stop there, you can just build the same pipe longer and place more sinks upon it.)

I didn't knew this. When testing with the Alpha 36, i dodn't have this distance so far (5 cases maximum if i rember correctly).
