I have 6 power supplies around the prison, nearly all of them are near full capacity. However 1 seems to catch fire regularly. Its had 6 fires already, I have sprinklers all around this unit and so the damage is minimum. Just annoying coz it takes time to repair it and the blackout it causes..
Just wondering why this 1 power supply unit is catching fire and not the others ???

Re: power supply unit catching fire
water + electricity = fire
Re: power supply unit catching fire
Do you mean I have water pipes near the power supply unit ?
I have pumps and power supply units in other locations and they never caught fire... besides I only place sprinklers around it after it caught fire

Re: power supply unit catching fire
Dont think it would be water related. I always put pumps joining the power generator and never had a fire. Maybe something specific on that grid?

Well tbh, he doesn't give enough information for us to answer his question.
Prisoners start fires too.
Prisoners start fires too.
Re: power supply unit catching fire
Could you add screenshot? Maybe there is shower close by?
Re: power supply unit catching fire
Haha maybe the prisoners have gotten together and just said "Right we are targeting this power supply until it drives them crazy" and they are acting out their plan.
Re: power supply unit catching fire
Whenever water touches electric devices (don't know if this is restricted to the high powered objects) it starts a fire. Is this a possible explanation for your problem?
Re: power supply unit catching fire
Just to clarify some of the above comments:
They don't mean water pipes, they mean actual water flooding the floor.
I had some prisoners start a fire in the canteen and the water from firefighter hoses and sprinklers got into my storage area, setting my power supply on fire. I turned off the power, installed some drains, and the room dried out pretty quickly and no more fires started once power was back on.

Re: power supply unit catching fire
hmmm maybe its the showers from the prison cells that is next to it that is causing it..
Re: power supply unit catching fire
..so I've removed the nearby showers and the PSU seems fine now... no more fires...
