Max prisoner intake

Hello,

I'm posting this to see if anyone else has noticed a similar issue. I checked the bug tracker and didn't see anything about it.

I've got a prison save I've been playing that has 56 cells and a parole program. I've got 16 minor and 40 medium prisoners. I've turned off my intake and as prisoners get paroled I turn back on intake for either minor or medium to keep my cells full. Twice now I have randomly received a max prisoner in a group of minor or medium (can't remember which now). I wasn't prepared for the max prisoners so I wasn't taking in any.

Is this a bug? Is this just some expected randomness to the game? Thoughts?

Nope. When a prisoner murders someone they get upgraded to Max security. There might be other triggers, but that's the one I'm sure of.

I was aware of that but I've seen them arrive in reception. It's only this prison save I've noticed it on though.

Never seen that before, I always get exactly what I've ordered on intake. Maybe those guys shived someone on the bus on the way in

Make sure the slider for your max sec says "closed" it's easy to miss that.

It is. I only accept min or med prisons at one time. Not both. So one day I'll accept 3 min prisoners to fill my 3 vacant min cells and the next I might accept 5 med prisoners for my vacant cells. These 2 max guys showed up on different days and in one instance I ordered 5 med prisoners and got 4 med prisoners and 1 max.

I'm going to try and see if I can reproduce it.
