Cooks won't make food

Hello,

I bought the game a few hours ago and I really like it but one thing that is annoying me is that my cooks won't make any food. I build the kitchen I selected the space as "Kitchen". I also assigned 2 cooks with the necessary equipment but they won't make any food and my prisoners are rioting because they can't eat. How do I fix this problem?

Hi Carebox,

Ensure that you have a Canteen with some serving tables for the cooks to move the food to.

If you have this already, click "Logistics", then "Food Distribution" and ensure that the kitchen is connected to the canteen and that the canteen is connected to all the cell blocks - this should resolve your issue

I had this issue, but only with 2 kitchens. Do you have more than one kitchen assigned? As I had 2 kitchens and 2 canteens and the cooks and prisoners would only use one of each, so destroy any smaller kitchens you have.

This is an issue a lot of people are having.

You can have more than one canteen but you need to connect cells to it! You can use this to choose which prisoners use which canteen by linking one canteen to the MaxSec prisoner cells and one to MinSec cells for example.

With so many people having this problem it could be that the game is no longer auto linking cells to the canteen as it did before.
