Cant assign rooms

I just bought the game today 5/2/15.
I can assign showers,yard.. but I cannot assign cells,offices,common room and many more.
is that a bug or Im doing something wrong?

You can find room assignment under "rooms"

Make sure to drag the assignement accross the whole area you want to assign. it does not autofill a room with a single click.

Also make sure NOT to include walls and doors when zoning a room.

You have been able to assign rooms which can be 'outside' so im guessing you have laid no foundations (bottom left) in which rooms 'indoors' have to be built.

Hi Silky22,

As poorstudent said, you need to create a foundation first.
This is the leftmost button ... from there you can select brick, concrete or bulldoze.

Just select concrete for now for all your buildings.
This needs to be done for everything that needs to be indoors. (Almost everything)

A few things can be outdoors and don't need a foundation to make. A few items:
- Yard
- Garbage
- Delivery
- Forestry (outdoors only)

there is no such option at regime and prisoners daily schedule..

Regime slots for classes are considered "work".
Make sure you have unlocked regime modification and add a couple of hours of work time for the students.
How many hours and what class rooms you need and what kind of teacher you can find when you hover over the program. It will show a pop-up with all the info you need about those items.

Also, you can take pictures on your computer using the "Prnt Scrn" button (or using other tools like Gyazo, etc). It would certainly be easier and look a lot better!
