Can't update

I recently got this game, and when I do check for updates, click mac it asks for my login details.I put them in and says i'm not in any of the required groups.Is this a glitch or do I need to upgrade?

Where did you buy the game?
Im unsure, but I Think that if you registred the game via a PSTEAM key you cannot access the Mac version (?),

Or have you registred your CD key at all? Can you access the developer forum?

I bought the game at the website, and no, I didnt use it on steam. Also I cannot access the dev forum.Where do I find the key?

You should have received an email with a key code in it, you have to validate your account with that key to access the developer forum, the developer wiki and the builds page
