Prison Architect on Regular Speed is Boring

Postby recojohnson » Wed Oct 08, 2014 6:05 am

Am I the only one who constantly plays in 3x speed?
There doesn't seem to be enough to do in the game while waiting for money every hour.
Will there be additional speeds added to make it even faster?
I noticed that in some of the feature preview videos one of the programmers used a tool to instantly make it the next day.
There is a game on steam called frozen synapse that might spark some ideas.

The way I see it; 3x is the normal speed and 1x is the "something bad is happening. Slow down." setting.
I only wish they'd hotkey the + and - keys on the numpad side to speed increase/decrease, and get the game running smoother. Right now there's no difference between 1x and 3x if your prison is fairly large due to slowdowns.
Enabling the game to run in the background would also be nice, as opposed to it stopping as soon as you click on something else, even in windowed mode.

I always run 3x, and per above slow down to 1x if necessary.
