Hint: Make a one-way metal detector

Made this. Works really great!



Here to do it:
1 metal detector
1 pressure plates
1 Power switch.

Connect Everything as shown in Picture, make sure to connect FROM pressure plate TO switch. Make sure the Surface below the pressure plate is a "medium walk speed" Surface, and the one under metal detector is a "fast walk speed" Surface. This to give the time for the metal detector to start.

I have it at the infirmary, to avoid scanning people who enter the infirmary giving unneccessary FP, but Scans for smuggled scissors at exit.

Tested it out, the metal detector has a small start delay so it wont scan people that steps from metal detector -> pressure plate.

However, its not possible to do it with logic Circuits since the Power switch does not react to logic Circuits.

Did found a workaround to the "logic not affecting powerswitches" bug:

Connect it to a servo which is not attached to a door. Then connect the servo to the Power switch.



This is a more stable solution. Instead of turning on the metal detector at exit, it turns it off at entry, so the metal detector is normally on.

The UPPER servo is NOT connected to any door. It just acts as a "bug workaround" to make it possible to flip the Power switch by logic output.
